Irrigation, Rain Gardens and Flood Mitigation

This property faced a number of water challenges caused by downspouts causing erosion of gardens and flooding of patios.

New Front Yard

Here we expanded the beds near the house and added soil and edging to capture water and feed the plants.

New Shade Garden Near House

Using ferns, hostas, and tiarellas we built a new bed on the shady side of the house.

The back yard had severe flooding problems from a number of downspouts letting out onto a mortared patio. Water would pool on the patio and flood the whole yard during strong deluges.

Two rain gardens were created to help with the flooding of the patio

Installation of dry stream for both aesthetic and drainage purposes
